Lamdani had to identify the bodies of his relatives at a makeshift morgue in the southern city of Khan Younis. He lost his parents, seven siblings and four members of his uncle’s family in an Israeli airstrike.

He said his family and his uncle were traveling in two cars across Gaza

which faced the heaviest bombardment after the Palestinian militant group Hamas launched an attack on Israel on October 7, 2023. Killing around 1,400 people and taking more than 200 hostage.
Lamdani’s family lives in a temporary shelter in Khan Younis. “At 4.30am, I woke up and sat with my aunt drinking coffee.

“This is a nightmare.
Israel argues that Hamas guerrillas have shifted south and are using the community as shields.

Turkey sent two cargo planes to Egypt on Monday carrying medical equipment and supplies for Gaza, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said, adding two more planes would be sent.

At one of the PBB schools in Khan Younis, Nasser Abu Amer, his wife and eight children, said they desperately needed food and water.
