After splitting with Elton John, and joining Guns N’ Roses, while recording the song “November Rain”, Guns N’ Roses vocalist, Axl Rose, sang “Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me” and the tune sounded very similar. Sorum used the same drum phrases into other Guns N’ Roses songs, and played the same fills on “Don’t Cry” and “Estranged”.
