Ordinary humans, aka muggles in the Harry Potter story, can finally explore the mysterious Forbidden Forest. The forest will be present on Singapore’s Sentosa Island from 3 February 2024. This light-centric exhibition will see the Sentosa Coastal Path transform into a magical outdoor trail filled with familiar creatures from the Harry Potter series.
While going through the forest, visitors can meet creatures from the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts series such as Hippogriffs, Unicorns and Nifflers. Participants will not explore the Forbidden Forest in the dark and will not need to light a magic wand using the “Lumos” spell. The venue will be fill with lighting, transforming into a magical outdoor pathway.
Cone-shaped scenes set in the Forbidden Forest from the Harry Potter franchise will also appear for photo opportunities, including the fall of the Weasley family’s flying car into the Whomping Willow.
Visitors can also try casting a Patronus charm during this experience.
After touring the Forbidden Forest, relax with a taste of the famous Butterbeer and get exclusive memorabilia featuring in the Harry Potter (2001 to 2011) and Fantastic Beasts (2016 to 2022) films in the gift shop.
According to information on the official website, the entire route will take approximately 30 minutes to explore.
The exhibition experience debuts in the UK in 2021 before being host in the United States in October 2022. The exhibition on Singapore’s Sentosa Island was created by Warner Bros Discovery Global Themed Entertainment, in collaboration with entertainment discovery platform Fever, and award-winning theater designers Thinkwell and Unify.
Ticket sales for Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience in Singapore will start from 4pm on 16 November 2023. Prices start from SGD$51 or around IDR 589 thousand for adults and SGD$39 or around IDR 450 thousand for children, depending on the date and time session.
