Francesco Bagnaia managed to emerge as champion at the 2023 Mandalika MotoGP Grand Prix last weekend. The Ducati Lenovo Team racer was able to climb 12 places from his initial race position, namely P13.

Even though he was not the favorite, Bagnaia made a good start and managed to climb to sixth place at the end of the opening lap of the Mandalika MotoGP. He moved up three places again when he entered the 3rd lap behind Jorge Martin (Pramac Racing Team) and Maverick Vinales (Aprilia).
As a result, Bagnaia was able to overtake the two racers in front of him with a winning margin of 0.3 seconds.

The racer who is familiarly call Pecco explaine several factors that made him able to become a winner at the Mandalika Circuit.

“I looked after my tires then when I saw the remaining laps I just tried to push again to put me in front. Winning here, and starting from P13 is great.
Bagnaia admitted that he was happy to be able to achieve victory at the Mandalika MotoGP 2023. According to him, the Ducati Lenovo Team manufacturer did an extraordinary job at the Mandalika Circuit.
Because he hasn’t won for a long time after the accident in Barcelona. “I am very proud of my team and crew,” said Pecco.
The victory at the Mandalika Circuit made Bagnaia solidify his position at the top of the temporary MotoGP standings with 346 points. He is 18 points ahead of his closest rival, Jorge Martin.

Meanwhile, Bagnaia’s teammate at the Ducati Lenovo Team, Enea Bastianini, also reaped positive results at the 2023 Mandalika MotoGP. The Italian racer was able to finish in the top 10, to be precise in 8th place.

This is the first point achieved by Enea Bastianini since the Catalunya Grand Prix on September 3 2023. Now Enea Bastianini is still in 20th position in the temporary MotoGP standings with 36 points.
