When you go to India, have at least one sari. This is the pride of Indian women’s clothing which has gone global. Sarees can be found anywhere but the most famous ones come from Kolkata and Varanasi.

Rajasthan, especially Jodhpur and Udaipur, is famous for carved wooden furniture, statues and everything from wood.

5. Seasoning

India is the spice capital. The foods are rich in spices. If you want to bring home typical Indian spices, get them at spice markets in Delhi and Cochin (Kochi).

Khurja in Uttar Pradesh is famous for its pottery or ceramic crafts. The unique thing is that each product is painted by hand. Ceramic products include bowls, plates and decorative ornaments.

10. Essential Oils

If you want to bring home Indian essential oils, visit Mysuru which is famous for its sandalwood products. If you want more variety, essential oils are available in Auroville, a spiritual city in Tamil Nadu.
